The design of this shirt is based on the story of Dutch folk hero 'Jan van Schaffelaar'. He became known for his jump from the church tower in Barneveld, where he saved the lives of his comrades. The opponents surrounded the church where 'Van Schaffelaar' was hiding with his fellow soldiers (Kabeljauwen). They would only stop firing cannon shots when 'Van Schaffelaar' was thrown from the tower, that his comrades refused. 'Van Schaffelaar' then said: "Dear companions, I have to die one day, I don't want to cause you any trouble." He stood on the tower platform, put his hands on his hips and jumped down. He survived the fall, but was still beaten to death by his opponents (Hoeken) on the ground.

The color of the T-shirt is black. In addition to 'Death Before Dishonor', the last words of 'Van Schaffelaar' in Old Dutch can also be read on the front ("Lieve gesellen, ic moet ummer sterven, ic en wil u in geenen last brenghen"). Jan's jump from the church is depicted on the back.
